Secondary Principal
Linda Achondo

August 17, 2022

Greetings,

My name is Linda Achondo and I am excited to serve as your incoming principal.  As many of you know, Ms. Johnson has accepted a principal position in Eastern Washington and will no longer be in the Oroville School District.  To give you a little background about myself, I have worked in the field of education for the last twenty-two years.  Prior to becoming the principal here I worked as an administrator for nine years and an Instructional Coach and teacher at various levels for twelve years.  I know that I will be able to utilize this experience here at OHS.

In addition to my professional achievements, one of my greatest accomplishments is my family.  My husband and I just celebrated our thirteenth year of marriage last week.  We have two daughters, our youngest will be eight in September and our oldest is eleven.

Having been raised in a small town, my husband and I specifically sought out Oroville as we felt it is a small, close knit community where we could raise our daughters.   We are all very excited to join the community and school district! I am honored and humbled to serve as the new principal for Oroville Junior/Senior High School and look forward to meeting students, parents, and community members. My door is always open to you, and I sincerely welcome your input and support.  I can be reached via e-mail at [email protected] or by calling the school at (509)476-3612.  I am excited about all we will accomplish together for our students and look forward to celebrating our collective success this school year. Please refer to Ms. Johnson’s message that was e-mailed out via Skyward on August 11th, for important dates and information for the beginning of the school year.

Sincerely,

Linda Achondo

Oroville Junior/Senior High School Principal
