Dear Parents, Families, and Students
We are down to our last few weeks of the 2021-2022 school year! Most students have completed their spring NWEA testing, and will be moving into the state required Smarter Balanced Assessment. Students will be assessed in English Language Arts, Math, and Science. If students meet the grade level standards on their high school ELA and Math test, that will satisfy their graduation pathway. All 11th graders will take the Science portion, but it does not need to be passed to satisfy a graduation requirement.
Aswemoveintotheendoftheyear, weareencouragingstudentstofinishstrong. Teachershavebeenveryflexible in accepting late work, and have been continuing to try to help students show mastery in subject areas in order to receive passing grades in classes. Please remember that students in high school that do no pass classes will be required to do a credit recovery to make up any credits they are lacking, or they will not be able to graduate on time.
For our seniors, the last day of school will be May 27 if all graduation requirements have been met. If seniors are still working on fulfilling their credit requirements, then they must attend school the following week, or until all requirements are met. Graduation will be held on June 4, 2022, starting at 2:00p.m. As of this time, there are no restrictions in place due to COVID.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher, the front office, or myself if you have concerns about your child’s academic success. Thank you!
Ms. Johnson
