The American Legion Scholarship

The American Legion Post 84 offers an opportunity for OHS students to receive a $250 scholarship to further their educational endeavors. This can include college, technical/trade school - they encourage any student with plans to continue their vocational training or education to apply.

Applications are available in the main office.

The deadline to apply for this scholarship is May 1, 2023

McPartland Law Offices Scholarship Program

Five $500 scholarships are available.

The application will be graded on essay quality and presentation, as well as the applicant's high school achievements.

The applicant must write a short essay between 350 and 500 words, describing the way in which the civil justice system has impacted their life. This may be a direct impact (you or a family member have been involved in a claim or suit), or an indirect impact (a way that a civil case involving total strangers impacts the world in which we live).

The following should also be included with the essay:
1. Name
2. Address - mailing and residential
3. Copy of High School Transcript
4. List of High School Activities
5. Certification to the word count
6. Photograph of the applicant

Applications missing any of the required elements will be disqualified from consideration. 

Application deadline is May 19.

Okanogan Valley Bass Club Scholarship

The Okanogan Valley Bass Club is offering a scholarship for those continuing their education at any 4 year university, 2 year community college or trade school.

The scholarship is $1,000 to be used exclusively towards tuition, books or classroom materials. One year later, the recipient may receive another $500 follow up scholarship provided that they are enrolled in school for the following year. The recipient will be responsible for contacting the Okanogan Valley Bass Club prior to 5/1/24 to receive the additional amount.

How to apply:
1. Submit a copy of your college or trade school acceptance letter along with your high school transcript.
2. Please provide a brief (1 page maximum) letter of recommendation from 1 teacher and 1 adult member of the community.
3. Answer the following questions, using a maximum of 2 pages for your answers:
  • What are you pursuing a degree/career in?
  • What made you choose this career path?
  • What community service projects or volunteer programs have you participated in
4. Include your name, address, phone, email, parent/guardian(s) names and the high school you attend.

Applications must be postmarked no later than April 20, 2023

P1FCU Scholarship
P1FCU will award 15 $1000 scholarships.
Eligibility Requirements:
* 2023 high school graduate with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
* Acceptance as a full-time student at a college or university
* P1FCU primary member in good standing
* Copy of transcripts - including any college credits already earned
* 2 letters of recommendation from teacher, counselor or other school official
* Copy of resume
* Personal statement
* Any additional information you feel the committee might find valuable
* Complete the application linked below.

Fillable P1FCU Scholarship Application

Skagit Farmer's Supply (Country Store) Scholarship
Skagit Farmers Supply awards a minimum of three $1,000 scholarships annually to students wishing to pursue careers in the field of agriculture.

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must be high school seniors pursuing a future career in agriculture. A short letter outline career interests and goals is to be submitted with the application form.

Awards are made by committee and are not based on financial need. The criteria considered includes a demonstration of high standards in academic, social and leadership areas.

Students who receive the scholarship can apply to have it renewed after the first year.
The deadline for this scholarship is April 1, 2023

Confluence Health Scholarship
If you are planning to pursue a full-time healthcare related degree program for the academic year following high school graduation, we encourage you to apply for this scholarship. Preference will be given to students who will be enrolled in Wenatchee Valley or Big Bend Community College.

Central Washington B League Scholarship

The Central Washington B League wishes to recognize outstanding achievement and character by awarding a $500 scholarship to a top male and top female applicant from Central Washington 1B and 2B Leagues. Four winners will be chosen in all.

  • Must have been a 3 sport athlete during Senior year
  • 3.0 GPA minimum
  • Must plan to pursue post-secondary education following high school graduation.
Paper application forms can be found in the main office, and are due on April 26, 2023.

Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship

The Sea Mar Latino/a Educational Achievement Project Scholarship provides financial support for students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, perseverance, are go-getters, and have shown or have the strong potential to be contributors to their community.
Award amount: $2,500
Scholarship Deadline is April 30, 2023

SeaMar Farmworker Scholarship
SeaMar recognizes and acknowledges the barriers children of farm working families face in their pursuit of a college degree. Economic strains, as well as the language and cultural barriers can often affect these students.

Sometimes students need to work after-school and all summer to assist their family. Sea Mar is proud to provide annual scholarships to help make college a reality.
Award amount: $1,000.
